Very interesting tour in English of the spectacular caves, with a free tasting at the end. Fun for all the family.
Great sensory experience as you listen to the guide and walk through the wine-filled caves built below street level in Canelli! Movies on the wall, movies on the ceiling and many surprising facts and stories will be shared. Don't miss it! Especially not the wine tasting! The rose sparkling wine is second to none and they even have alcohol-free options for the kids!
We were visiting this area briefly and were really fortunate to find out that an English tour (free of charge!) would take place the next day. I made a reservation from the link on Google maps - very convenient! The tour was fascinating, the place is beautiful and unique and all the music, lights and video presentation added a really nice touch. The guide Alice was enthusiastic, artistic and spoke very good English. It felt more like a captivating show than a tour.
There was degustation at the end and we ended up buying several bottles of delicious "Madame Bosca".
But this place is usually not open to the public and you can only get in with a tour. Actually, we came 40 min early and couldn't even locate it since there is no sign! The door opens about 20 minutes before the tour time.
We were 2 couples and were lucky enough to have Alice Siri as our guide. We really enjoyed the wonderful sound and light show and Alice's enthusiasm made the tour a terrific experience for all of us!
Good wine tasting mix of barolo barbaresco and spumante champangoise
